Bio

Joe Tohme is currently the leader of the Agrobiodiversity and Biotechnology project at CIAT. He helped set up the CIAT molecular markers lab and implement the molecular characterization of genetic diversity and mapping of agronomical traits in bean, cassava, rice, and Brachiaria. His expertise is in plant breeding and biotechnology.  Joe has a Ph.D. in Crop Science from Michigan State University.
