Launch event: Toolbox for Working with Root, Tuber and Banana Seed Systems: Building a better seed future, together

Root, tuber and banana crops are the foundation of tropical food security.  But their seed systems are complex and widely informal. The seed is bulky, expensive to transport, spoils easily, and can harbor health problems from viruses to weevils. These challenges must be overcome to improve agricultural productivity and feed the world in an uncertain future.

The CGAIR Research Program on Roots, Tubers and Bananas is very pleased to invite you to a launch event for its RTB Toolbox: a collection of 11 tools designed to help researchers, extension workers, and smallholder farmers tackle the challenges to higher productivity.

The one-hour launch event will highlight outcomes from applying both bio-physical and socio-economic tools from the toolbox. We will be joined by key stakeholders from sub-Saharan Africa, South East Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean, together with colleagues from Europe and the USA.
