To consult the non-CGIAR partners in East and Central Africa on the design and implementation of the CGIAR Research Program 3 on Roots, Tubers and Bananas (CRP RTB)
Specific objectives
The specific objectives to:
- Enhance awareness about the CGIAR reform among non-CGIAR stakeholders
- Sensitize stakeholders on CRP3 on Roots, Tubers and Bananas (RTB)
- Obtain input of stakeholders into the design and implementation of RTB
mega-programme 3
Workshops outputs
The anticipated workshop outputs are:
- Awareness and common understanding on CRP RTB.
- Stakeholder views and perspectives on the design and implementation of CRP RTB with respect to:
– Themes
– The desired impact and how to achieve it
– How to involve the stakeholders
– How to address partnerships, gender/youth integration, communication management and capacity strengthening
Workshop process
The workshop process will be guided five major steps:
- Creating awareness about the CGIAR reform process
- Providing information about CRP on Roots, Tubers and Bananas
- Feedback and stakeholder input into CRP RTB themes
- Exploring thematic impacts and success factors
- Mechanisms for addressing cross-cutting issues in CRP RTB
